Hooked on Fishing Day One

We had a blast today at Dayton MetroParks Possum Creek Park. Big up to the volunteers and chaperones of the Seeds of Peace Youth Organization as well as the volunteers for Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs program. A big thanks to Officer Z of the MetroParks Park Rangers who taught the safety and fishing classes. We will be there next Saturday, May 7th at 9am sharp. See you all there. Again if you want to volunteer, please contact Brother Larry at 937.520.8011.

Clean up day and Open Swim

On Saturday, April 16th, the Seeds of Peace Community Youth Organization is looking for volunteers and chaperones for two events:

The North Main Street Business Association will sponsor a “North Main Street Clean-Ups” on Saturdays April 16th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers will pick up litter and remove overgrown vegetation along the North Main Street corridor, from Redwood Avenue to Riverview Avenue. Participants should report to United Foods at 2141 N. Main St. by 8:30 a.m. Gloves, brooms, bags and other clean-up tools will be provided.

Then

from 12:30pm until 3:30pm at the Greater Dayton Recreation Center at Roosevelt Commons located at 2021 West Third Street, in dayton, Ohio will be hosting a free open swim day.

Seeds of Peace is looking for volunteers to drive our youth to and from these events. We are also looking for chaperones. In the last two years, Seeds of Peace was the organization that successfully arrived with several youth volunteers surpassing all other organizations in Dayton, Ohio.

You don't have to volunteer for both events. You can volunteer for either one or both. For more information please contact Brother Larry @937-520-8011.
